The 13th China Internet Audio & Video Convention

From 14 to 16 April, 2026, the 13th China Internet Audio & Video Convention was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, under the theme “Prospering New Popular Arts, Co-Creating New Era Audio-Visual Experiences”, bringing together numerous distinguished guests and experts from relevant regulatory authorities, leading platforms, and academic institutions.

As one of the featured highlights of the event, a creator economy forum took place on the afternoon of the 16th, initiating in-depth discussions centered on how AI empowers creation and reshapes future value. Professor Fen Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and Director of the ArtX Hong Kong Institute (ArtX HK), was invited as a guest speaker. Positioned at the intersection of higher education and cultural innovation, she aimed to promote cross-boundary dialogue and talent cultivation for the audio-visual industry amidst the AI wave.

In her keynote speech, Professor Fen Lin took “imagination education” as her starting point, highlighting an ongoing transition in higher education from a knowledge economy to an imagination economy. She emphasized that the pressing priority for arts education is to focus on the collaborative training of creative transformation and cross-cultural expression, thereby fulfilling the mission of cultivating future-ready creative talent. Furthermore, she urged educators to guide students toward “graduating with a mission rather than just a major,” bringing a forward-looking perspective to talent development in the AI era.

As part of the convention's innovation initiatives, the 2026 ACX AI Creator X Challenge was held concurrently in Chengdu, Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macao on April 14. The competition brought together 24 teams and 93 creators, who produced AI-generated video works within 24 hours under the theme “The Great Beauty of China in the 24 Solar Terms”. For the first time, sub-competition zones were established in Hong Kong and Macao, enabling broader regional participation.

Serving as a supporting organization for the event, ArtX HK was deeply involved in organizing the Hong Kong division of the 2026 ACX AI Creator X Challenge. ArtX HK actively identified and encouraged young talents in AI video creation, promoted the interdisciplinary integration of arts education and AI technology, and built a vital platform for exchanges between AI creators—further driving the collaborative development of creative industries in the AI era.
