ArtX HK Institute (ArtX HK) is a forward-looking, interdisciplinary institute at City University of Hong Kong. ArtX HK leverages transformative technologies to nurture the ecosystem of the next-generation creative economy. The Institute catalyzes synergy among creative talents, cultural heritage, ArtTech, FinTech, and social communities, dedicated to research on creative industry, art trading and cultural exchange; and serving as a bridge between academic research and the creative industries in Asia and beyond. Through collaborations with leading universities, cultural institutions, policy bodies, and industry innovators, ArtX HK produces impactful research, AI-driven platforms for creative IP management, and forward-looking policy recommendations. This work reinforces Hong Kong’s strategic position as a vibrant East-meets-West cultural hub and a regional center for intellectual property and art trading. The Institute also acts as a catalyst for talent development, fostering a global network of creative professionals and cultivating future leaders equipped to shape the next-generation creative economy. Pioneer transdisciplinary research on the next-generation creative economy, including creative IP management, AI-enabled creative ecosystem, blockchain applications in art business, security in new payment technologies, ArtTech ethics and social impact, and policy measures applicable to Hong Kong.
