Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Principals' Delegation visits the 2026 CAFA Postgraduate Graduation Exhibition

On 12 May 2026, the Hong Kong Primary and Secondary School Principals' Delegation, organised by the Office of the Vice-President (Community Engagement) of City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), visited the CAFA Art Museum. The visit built an exchange platform for the coordinated development of Beijing and Hong Kong in the fields of humanities and science and innovation education.

The delegation was led by Professor Hang Wong, Associate Vice-President (Community Engagement) at CityUHK, and comprised 14 principals and vice-principals from 13 primary and secondary schools, including Ms. Yi-ying Lee, Chairman of the Hong Kong Subsidized Secondary Schools Council; Mr. Wai-hung Kan, Chairman of the Association of Hong Kong Chinese Middle Schools; and Mr. Kwun-fan Liang, Chairman of the Kowloon Region School Heads Association. Professor Fen Lin, Associate Vice-President (Global Strategy) at CityUHK and Director of ArtX Hong Kong Institute (ArtX HK); Professor Ho Man Chan at the Department of Electrical Engineering, CityUHK; and Dr. Ka Fai Chan, Senior Engineer of the State Key Laboratory of Terahertz and Millimeter Waves, CityUHK, also participated in the visit, bringing diverse perspectives from higher education and cutting-edge research to the exchange.

During the visit, the delegation toured “Awakening in Colors”, the 2026 Postgraduate Graduation Exhibition at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA). The exhibition featured over 1,000 works by 570 master's and doctoral students, spanning Chinese painting, oil painting, sculpture, design, and cultural relic restoration.Through diverse creative expressions within an interactive space, the showcase highlighted the dynamic development of contemporary art education and interdisciplinary creation.

This onsite visit has not only deepened the Hong Kong education sector’s understanding of national aesthetic education development, but has also paved the way for deeper resource-sharing and educational collaboration between Beijing and Hong Kong.
