Program Overview

BitBasel APAC Launch and Digital Art Forum

On 24 March 2026, the BitBasel APAC Launch and Digital Art Forum took place in Hong Kong. A panel discussion themed “Art as an Asset Class: The Role of AI in Cultural Capital” was held during the event.

The panel discussion re-examined the role of artificial intelligence, positioning it as an empowering tool to amplify human potential rather than replace it. Participating experts engaged in in-depth discussions on how AI enhances creative expression, improves information transparency, and unlocks new value across art industries, cultural asset management, and insurance products.

The panel brought together a diverse group of experts, including Mr. Leo Lau, Head of Strategy and Transformation at IBM Consulting, Hong Kong; Professor Xiaofan Liu, Associate Professor in the Department of Media and Communication at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) and a member of ArtX Hong Kong Institute (ArtX HK); Mr. Vincent Wu, Founder and CEO of CURATOR Group, Senior Researcher of ArtX HK; and Mr. Neil Tan, Managing Partner of Tsunami Labs and Founder and Chairman of the Artificial Intelligence Association of Hong Kong (AIHK).
